privacy policy

We collect the following types of information when you use teliprompt:

• Account information: email address, username, and password (hashed using bcrypt — never stored in plain text).
• Profile information: display name, bio, avatar image, website URL, and Twitter handle. All profile fields are optional.
• Content you create: prompts, AI outputs, comments, collections, likes, bookmarks, and follow relationships.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, view counts, copy counts, and interaction patterns.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and user agent string. This data is used for rate limiting, security, and bot detection.

• To provide and maintain the teliprompt service
• To display your public profile, prompts, and collections to other users
• To calculate view counts, copy counts, and engagement analytics
• To send you notifications about activity on your content (likes, comments, follows, remixes)
• To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse of the platform
• To detect and block bot traffic and automated scraping
• To improve and develop new features for the service

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

• Public content: your prompts, profile, comments, and public collections are visible to everyone, including search engines.
• Private collections: collections marked as private are visible only to you.
• We share personal data only when required by law, such as in response to a valid legal process or government request.
• We may share anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot be used to identify individual users.

• User data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on secure servers.
• Images (avatars, post images, thumbnails) are stored on Cloudflare R2 with immutable cache headers.
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with 12 salt rounds. We never store or log plaintext passwords.
• Authentication uses JWT tokens with a 7-day expiry. Tokens are transmitted via secure, httpOnly cookies.
• Redis is used for temporary caching, rate limiting, and view count buffering. Cached data is ephemeral and expires automatically.

We use browser localStorage to persist your login session, theme preference, and draft posts. We use httpOnly cookies for authentication tokens.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not integrate with third-party analytics or advertising platforms.

• View your data: your profile information, prompts, and activity are visible on your profile and settings page.
• Edit your data: you can update your profile information, edit or delete your prompts, and manage your collections at any time via the settings page.
• Delete your account: you can permanently delete your account via the settings page. This will delete all your prompts, comments, collections, follows, likes, and bookmarks.
• Export your data: to request a copy of your data, contact us at teliprompt@gmail.com.

Your account data is retained until you choose to delete your account. Upon account deletion, all associated content is permanently removed.

Deleted comments display “[deleted]” to preserve the thread structure of conversations, but the comment body and author information are removed.

View counts and copy counts are anonymized and are not linked to individual user identities after the 24-hour deduplication window expires.

teliprompt is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of teliprompt after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
